Requirements for Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program:
To qualify for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program, certain prerequisites must be met:
- Obtain a recommendation from a designated community economic development organization.
- Possess at least one year of full-time or part-time equivalent work experience, with exemptions for international students residing and studying in the community.
- Secure a qualifying job offer (Tier 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 positions are eligible).
- Undergo an English language test, with proficiency requirements aligned with the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
- Demonstrate financial capability to support the transition into the intended community of residence.
Application Process:
The process involves the following steps:
1. Find an Employer: Seek employment opportunities within one of the participating communities.
2. Apply to the Community: Submit your application to the designated community. If approved, you can proceed to the next step.
3. Apply to IRCC for Canadian PR: Upon receiving approval from the community, apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.
